Sophomore pitcher Nate Payne made his varsity debut throwing 6 shutout innings and striking out 13 in the Ram's win. CD moves to 2-0 on the season. Tad McFadden, former NAIA baseball fan, had this to say about Payne. "He reminds me of a young Randy Johnson. He's just shorter, doesn't quite throw 100 mph, and isn't anywhere near as ugly. But he is a lefty and he's got a long career ahead."
